Description :
In this thesis, we have explored the self-assembly of chiral triarylamine trisamides bearing various lateral chains. We studied the relationship between their structure, the self-assembly conditions, and the properties and morphologies of the resulting supramolecular polymers. First, by controlling the supramolecular polymerization of a monomer decorated with a tetraphenylethene unit, we obtained luminescent structures exhibiting circularly polarized emission of both handedness. Second, by attaching bromonaphthalimide moieties, we obtained triarylamine derivatives with increased stability. Third, we achieved control over the organization of the self-assembled structures of a chiral triarylamine at different hierarchical levels and described the processes behind the induced supramolecular transformation. Finally, we synthesized a series of highly-soluble triarylamines containing conductive tetrathiafulvalene units.
